Yes, Yuma holds the number one spot for the list of sunniest places in the world. Yuma has 242 days of sunshine, which is two-thirds of the year lookin' at nothing but clear skies.

Places in the U.S. can also get a little hot at times. About 400 miles away from Yuma there is an area just over the California/Arizona State Line called Death Valley, holding the world record temperature of 134 degrees Fahrenheit (56.7 degrees Celsius), which occurred on July 10, 1913 at Greenland Ranch, California.
